We're back, live and in-person! After a year of virtual interactions, we're looking forward to a face-to-face gathering and excited to present topics such as affordable housing, electric vehicles, community engagement, and of course those important law and ethics sessions.

Toolbox for Small Rural Communities
Downtown Colorado, Inc. Session
September 8th, 1:00-2:30 PM
Small, rural communities in Colorado often have limited time and staff to consider the zoning and code to shape the community they envision. Too often we see small towns who have adopted codes from somewhere else that may not accurately reflect the development, redevelopment, and investment the town would like to see. Downtown Colorado, Inc. in partnership with StudioSeed and Community Planning Strategies, have taken on the initiative to investigate and develop a tool to identify barriers and solutions for small, rural communities in aligning regulation to encourage private investment in the community vision around housing, historic preservation, and entrepreneurship through infill and re-use of existing buildings. Join us in a workshop setting as we encounter barriers and use the toolbox to identify ways to move the needle in the right direction!
Speakers: Katherine Correll, Downtown Colorado, Inc.
Cheney Bostic, Studio Seed
Tj Dlubac, Community Planning Strategies
