On October 23, 2018 the Downtown Colorado, Inc. Downtown Institute will provide a workshop sponsored by Downtown Grand Junction to take the lead on engaging business and restaurant owners around ideas to capture and capitalize on the people and partnerships that make downtown the best place for business. Join this half-day of dialogue and activities to consider steps business and restaurant owners can take advantage of today to keep business thriving for many tomorrows.

The dynamic format will include educational presentations, information sharing, and interactive discussion around the following focus areas:

  • Getting to Know You. DCI will facilitate an interactive exercise to dive into the interests and needs of participants while we expand our network with introductions and discussion.
  • Capitalizing on Foot Traffic: Downtown Grand Junction is a regional hub where visitors come in droves for events but also arrive on an average day – or night – as they are traveling through. Join DCI as we explore ideas and proven practices for restaurants, small retailers, and even commercial businesses to capture more of the foot traffic coming to town while they are visiting or as a return customer.
  • Marketing Your Weaknesses: For small businesses and restaurants it is important to know your strengths and your weaknesses. Dive into the weaknesses you see as a liability to find a hidden strength that you can capitalize on with the right types of collaborative marketing partnerships!  Highlight collaborative marketing, opportunity in vacancy, etc.
