Northern Colorado DDA Lunch and Mobile Tour
Many Colorado communities are curious about Downtown Development Authorities (DDAs). How does a DDA work? Could this be a tool to help with downtown development in your town? Why sit in a conference room to learn, when you can visit two DDAs in person?! Colorado Municipal League (CML) & Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) are pleased to announce our first financing mechanism mobile tour. We will visit the DDAs and partner groups in Fort Collins, a large city and Windsor, a smaller town to encourage an interactive experience to showcase what these DDAs have done, how they work with others, and what their plan is for the future. Join CML & DCI has we invite our member cities and towns to see some DDA projects and talk to the officials and business owners involved.
The tour will start in Denver at CML's Headquarters and drive to Fort Collins. The group will tour Downtown Fort Collins and have lunch with City and County leaders to discuss why they chose the DDA tool, how it works, and the partnerships that make it effective. Enjoy a great lunch with Fort Collins downtown leaders. The bus will then drive to Windsor, where DDA and Town leaders will share the details of their DDA and current and future projects.
